I was afraid they wouldn't fit as they look so small and my legs and feet were so swollen they actually had folds - yes my feet had their own double chins. Even the size XL hospital socks wouldn't accommodate my elephant hooves. But surprisingly these socks stretched all the way over my feet while not digging in at all. I was very impressed with the quality and comfort, and the nonslip words on the bottom saved me from several disasters. I bought these socks to wear in the hospital for labor and delivery. They are very soft and comfortable, much better than the standard grip socks they give you in the hospital. My doctor noticed them and got a good laugh. Delivering a baby is one of the few times everyone in a room will be seeing the bottom of your feet. I will continue to wear these at home because I love the fit and the feel.
